German start-up Kentago commissioned us to design an ecosystem of hardware and software to easily measure the spine on the go. Since product and brand perception is formed the first time the packaging is opened, Kentago also asked us to develop a carefully curated unboxing experience tailored to the device.
Our goal was to develop a packaging that sparks desire for the product while maintaining sight of sustainability and cost efficiency. The manual’s positioning in the packaging alone provides an indication of the later use of the device in combination with the smartphone. The device itself is space-saving and securely stored thanks to a well-thought-out folding principle. In the spirit of sustainability, both box and inlay are made entirely of cardboard and do not require any adhesive. Strong color contrasts reflect Tricuro’s brand identity.
