In order to expand its range of mobile point-of-sale cash register solutions with its own hardware components, German start-up Shore approached us with the task of designing a user-friendly, elegant and durable tablet stand and a matching dock for card readers.
To meet Shore’s claim to produce as locally and sustainably as possible, we designed a metal housing that allows for easy installation of the components, the tilt adjustment of the tablet holder and the option of fixing a customer display using an invisible magnetic holder.
Taking into account the limitations of metal processing, we managed to create an iconic design for both Shore Stand and Shore Pay Dock that meets all usability requirements.
